Is therapy confidential?
Yes! Everything that is said in therapy strictly stays between you and me. However, there are a some instances where I would have to disclose information about our sessions. These exceptions are further detailed in the Notice of Privacy Practices and Informed Consent documents available on this website.
What is Sex Therapy?
Despite many misconceptions, sex therapy is not too different from traditional psychotherapy. The main differences are that the therapist has received additional training and education encompassing multiple aspects of sexuality and therefore there may be more openness regarding content about sexuality topics discussed. Some sex therapists may be more directive and assign homework to clients as well.
